ADVENTURE IS OUT THERE!
Si hay algo que caracterizó a la 82° entrega de los Premios de La Academia es la seriedad y el homenaje, no solo porque le dedicaron un emotivo momento al fallecido escritor John Hughes, sino porque cada galardón entreg ado mantuvo el aura de respeto y dedicación que se merecía.
Sin bien la ceremonia fue algo monótona y en muchas categorías poco sorpresivas, el trabajo realizado por Steve Martin y Alec Baldwin fue muy correcto. Ellos introdujeron los premios con un monólogo muy divertido haciendo referencia a cada una de las principales figuras nominadas de la noche, así como las 16 nominaciones de Meryl Streep, la batalla entre ex esposos (Katherin Bygelow y James Cameron), la seriedad de George Clooney, el éxito de Avatar, etc. Hubiese estado bueno que ellos tuviesen un poco más de tiempo en el escenario y que sus salidas no fueran tan distanciadas, ya que cada una de ellas fueron delirantes, con un humor previsible pero muy entretenido.
La ceremonia se dio lugar para homenajear al guionista de “Mi Pobre Angelito”, John Hughes, en un tributo muy emocionante que contó con un interesante compilado de cada una de sus creaciones. A su vez, se hizo mención al cine de terror que desde “The Silence of the Lambs” no participa de los Oscars y que tal como Taylor Lautner afirmó: “Es un género que no tiene el reconocimiento que se merece”. El video reunió, con el tema de “Tiburón” y “Halloween” de fondo, escenas clásicas del horror, mezclando épocas, colores y finalizando con un potentoso recuento por las mejores cuchilladas del género. Los anfitriones de la noche introdujeron el tema con una increíble parodia de “Paranormal Activity” (”Actividad Paranormal”) muy divertida.
Sin duda alguna muchos premios ya estaban previstos, como el de Sandra Bullock a Mejor Actriz o el de Christoph Waltz a Mejor Actor de Reparto, pero fue curiosamente el discurso de ellos que le brindó emoción, humor y alegría a cada galardonado, algo que pocas veces sucede en este tipo de entregas.
Una de las novedades que el año pasado habían sorprendido en los Oscars fue que en las dos categorías que premiaron a la mejor actriz y al mejor actor, interpretes que fueron galardonados años pasados les habían dedicado unas palabras a cada uno de los nominados. Esta formula fue utilizada una vez más: amigos y compañeros de los 5 actores y actrices que peleaban por una estatuilla dorada les brindaron homenaje. Uno de los momentos más bellos de la entrega.
Esta fue la noche de “The Hurt Locker” o “Vivir al Límite”, como se la conoce en Argentina, que se llevó seis de las nueve estatuillas por las que competía, Kathryn Bigelow se convirtió en la primer mujer en ganar el Oscar en la categoría Mejor Dirección y la película en ser la ganadora que menos dinero recaudó en la historia. A su vez, fue el atardecer para “Avatar,” que solo terminó con tres premios de las nueve nominaciones, técnicos solamente. Pero también cabe destacar que “Up in he Air” (”Amor sin Escalas”), favorita para llevarse el premio al mejor Guión Adaptado, se fue con las manos vacías, mientras que “Precious” (”Preciosa”), le arrebató la sorpresa y se fue con dos Oscars. “UP” logró escabullirse en la categoría Mejor Película, muy merecido por cierto y se consagró como la Mejor Película de Animación y el film con la Mejor Música del año. Y por supuesto, como dejar de lado el orgullo argentino que logró sacarnos una sonrisa de punta a punta cuando Pedro Almodovar, junto con el gran Quentin Tarantino, anunció que “El Secreto de sus Ojos” era la gran ganadora en la categoría Mejor Película Extranjera.
Estéticamente los Academy Awards 2010 fueron un lujo y Steve Martin junto a Alec Baldwin hicieron un trabajo correcto y muy entretenido como presentadores. Lejos está Hugh Jackman de ser superado como el mejor anfitrión de la década, lejos está de ser esta la mejor ceremonia de entrega de premios, pero también lejos está de ser la peor.
Una noche muy correcta y milagrosamente una de las ceremonias más justas de los últimos años. Sinceramente cada premio lo ganó el mejor y eso es muy raro de que suceda en Hollywood.
Lo mejor sin duda alguna la aparición de en Stiller disfrazado de Na’ví, quien solo él puede prestarse para esas delirantes ridiculeces y por supuesto la sátira de Actividad Paranormal, dos increíbles momentos.
Lo peor: los errores de los jóvenes presentadores: nervios, ruidos, bostezos y una Kristen Stewart tosiendo frente al micrófono. También el incómodo momento del director del cortometraje ganador, a quien le arrebataron el micrófono y no le dejaron agradecer.

Representante argentina Oscars 2010

Tal como se rumoreaba, “El Secreto de sus Ojos” film dirigido por Juan José Campanella, ha sido elegido por la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas del país como la candidata nacional para los Oscars 2010.

La votación se efectuó en un acto público en la sede de la Academia, el cual fue presenciado por el escribano Carlos D’Alessio, Pablo Bossi el presidente de la entidad, miembros del Consejo Directivo de la Academia  y  socios de la institución.

El próximo 2 de febrero sabremos si este film quedará nominado en la categoría “Mejor Película extranjera”.
